"The City Above the Clouds"
Mountain View United Methodist Church exists to make disciples who love like Jesus, creating a world where God's love reigns!
WHAT WE DO
We believe faith and good works belong together and must be confirmed in our lives by actions and words. Because of what God has done for us, we offer our lives back to God in mission and service to others.
As United Methodists, our theological understanding obligates us, as members of the body of Christ, to communicate our faith by speaking and listening to persons both within and without the Church throughout the world to utilize all appropriate means of communications. -- Book of Discipline
Providing appropriate, welcoming, and accessible facilities is a crucial part of our ministry. The church is more than facilities. Places for gathering, fellowship, worship, and education are important. Our church facilities are a launching pad for many ministries, which meet people in times of need. As a mission to the Woodland Park community, our church provides a regular meeting place for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Ute Pass Social Club, the Quilters Guild, Alcoholics Anonymous, yoga classes and many others. We also welcome church groups from other states visiting Teller County on their mission trips, and provide them housing and kitchen facilities.

Our church is a seven-day-a-week-congregation, providing support for all ministries in times of joy and crisis. We are blessed with talented staff members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make ministry happen. Whether preparing for worship, providing pastoral care, leading volunteers, preparing communications, directing the music program, ministering to our children and youth, or tending to the myriad of daily details that equip others for works of service, our staff is always working to help us accomplish our mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world.
